Where interviewees where given a chance for a private interview.Sai Baba's Secretary agreed to see me, during that first meeting I asked would he show the initial ideas bound in book form to Sathya Sai Baba?Yes he replied.I was not to know but this was the start to the most wonderful 14 years of our lives. This one meeting lead to Baba giving my wife and I interview after interview all of which gave us the privilege of the realisation that we were in the presence of the divine and the chance to voice the idea of illustrating his life story.
Sri Sathya Sai Baba enjoyed the work and supported Alexander and his wife Jan's efforts to be involved in this mammoth task to illustrate his life story. He had said "Go ahead with your plan it will be successful" The idea now official the paintings drawings, images would be recognised he even went so far as to sign one of the paintings, I was told later by Mr Ratnacker " If he signed one he has signed them all ", we still had the Art Gallery at Little Venice London. initially dividing our time to both projects.
