The practise of an artist and students working together in
the studio has been a tradition for centuries, however in
recent times art schools and a lack of patrons wishing to
finance this way of working has caused the tradition to be
abandoned. With the digital age a new opportunity to share
skills with those that cannot easily join in the studio
working area but still wish to be instructed in the art of
drawing and painting has come , a virtual art school is
planned and these are the first steps to this new web art
school, tuition by practical demonstrations &
illustration.
At Hampstead School of Art , we started the classes with a
quite time this had the great advantage of stilling the
mind of the art students and preparing them for the work to
come , this produced interesting effects individual art
students benefited by, clearing away the blockages that
some were experiencing in there work . A well known
phenomena in creative work ( creative block ) disappeared,
practising the quite sitting technique and it assisted in
making the work flow and helped continuity. To register
